Epidemiological Situation:
The country has not reported new cases of yellow fever since March 2017. However, epidemiological surveillance is maintained for the detection of possible cases.
Prevention:
- The vaccine should be administered from 12 months to 59 years of age, with a single dose providing lifelong protection.
- Avoid mosquito bites by using repellents, light-colored clothing, long sleeves, and long pants.
- Vaccine protection begins 10 days after administration, so it should be applied within that timeframe before traveling to risk areas or countries requiring this vaccine.
