Documents required for application

To apply for UDLA Exchange Program you must complete the online form. Make sure you fill in all the requested fields and upload the required documents in pdf or jpg format:

  1. Recent photograph.
  2. Student motivation letter.
  3. Scan of the first page of the current passport.
  4. Updated resume
  5. Enrollment and tuition invoices corresponding to the current semester
  6. Study agreement for UDLA Exchange students (subjects to be validated in the first exchange option).
  7. Study agreement for UDLA Exchange students (subjects to be validated in the second exchange option).

If you are selected for UDLA Exchange Program, the following documents will be requested:

  • UDLA Transcript of academic records up to the last semester coursed.
  • Proficiency certificate of the language used at the university where the student was selected to participate in the exchange. (E.g., TOEFL, IELTS, DELF, etc.). Only for universities in the United States, France, Czech Republic, and Poland.

Allocation of spots

The allocation of spots is chosen by UDLA and each foreign university. They may be modified each year during the validity of the agreements. Each student must select up to two possible exchange destination options.
The students who receive an exchange spot must confirm it with International Programs within five days of having received their notification of their selection for the participation in the program. After that a general orientation will be held with the selected students, as is stated in the calendar. The students who are not selected may apply during the next call.

Application at the host university

The students who were selected for UDLA Exchange Program must apply with the host university under the guidance of International Programs. The process and response time may vary according to the host university.
On average, acceptance takes between four to eight weeks once the application has been submitted to the foreign institution, which will respond with an acceptance letter that will be required at the time of applying for the student visa at the consulate or consular section of the embassy of the country of destination.
